Rob Papen 2012 – Competition Results

mp3unsigned October 21, 2012

Thanks to all of the artists who put the time, effort and creativity into producing a great selection of tracks for this competition. A very special thank you also to our competition sponsor Rob Papen for putting up such a fantastic prize. The results are as follows:

1st Place:
KtA – “Curiosity Killed the Rover”

2nd Place:
Martez & Essence – “Hasta Que La Siesta”

3rd Place:
Malcolm Gales – “Skyrunner 1001001”

1st: KtA receives the Rob Papen eXplorer II Bundle for his epic space soundscape based on both science fact and science fiction (or is it?). Original mixture of alien dubstep sounds overlaid on lush ethereal synth melodies secured “Curiosity Killed the Rover” the top spot in the comp. Prize: Explorer II Bundle

2nd: Martez & Essence came in at a very close second place and get 3 products from the Rob Papen range for their euphoric summer dance floor anthem “Hasta Que La Siesta”. Prize: 2 products of choice plus RP Distort

3rd: Malcolm Gales comes in at third place with retro trancefloor classic “Skyrunner 1001001”, nice mix of stab lines and variation throughout. Prize: 1 product of choice plus RP Distort

(Note: 2nd & 3rd place prizes can not include eXplorer II bundle)

Check out for details on the full product line.

Special mentions go out to Deggsy Music (with Wait For Stars) for the warm and nostalgic flavoured pop song “You Could Save The World”, and to Jc Mos for “Miss You All” a very professional and melodic sounding track.
